Hello, Fellow Rosco Bandanans!
We hope you have all been enjoying the cold and/or warmth of this Winter season. Also, hope you like our new website design, thanks to our friends at Hardrock! It should now be more informative and easier to navigate.
Throughout the end of December and a chunk of January, we were able to take a little breather and spend some time with friends and family.
So far, our January agenda has consisted of more condensed state tours. In Mid-January, we had a blast at our week long tour throughout Texas. We were given the amazing opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Dallas Mavericks game. Jason, Emily, and Jenny handled it like champs out there on the court. Although, this is not to say they didn’t feel like they were going to throw up due to nerves beforehand. It was truly an honor to represent our Country through song. After the song had been sung and the weight had been lifted, we got to watch the game from a suite with our Hardrock friends. It was an amazing day!
This past weekend, we did a weekend Louisiana tour. It ended up being one of our best, though we truly missed our sweet Jenny. She, unfortunately, came down with the flu prior to our departure.
Our first stop was Alexandria, where we played at Spirits Food & Friends. Although the crowd was slim due to Mardi Gras balls, we were received very warmly. The intimacy of the crowd is what made it so appealing. Although there was no hootin’ or hollerin’ like we are used to, they listened very intently and appreciated the music we were playing. We sold more merch that night than we have the whole tour! Not only were the crowd members to thank, but the bartenders and owners as well. They were one of the most hospitable and welcoming bars we have been to. We will definitely be back!
Next stop was Lake Charles, a quaint little town with friendly appeal. We played at Luna Live that night. We felt it was appropriate to open with our song, El Luna that night. We were also warmly welcomed here, greeted by their friendly staff, and were fed their delicious food. The stage was awesome, and there were definitely some boot stompers in the crowd. We have come to find that our newly founded dance competition each show has proven to be beneficial. It is always great seeing people have fun while listening to our tunes; it makes us have more fun which, in turn, results in a better show.
Now that we have left our mark in Texas and Louisiana, it is time to keep on truckin’. Stay tuned throughout the coming weeks to get updates on where we are heading next.
Til then!
