It is day seven of our ten day long mini tour. It has been an experience like no other, different from former legs of the tour. The main thing that separates this leg of the tour from the others is that we are opening for a band. It is amazing what a difference opening for an already well esteemed band makes! The band we are opening for is a three piece band from Indiana, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band. It consists of “The Rev,” (guitar/ vocals) “Breezy,” (washboard/ vocals) and “Cuz,” (drums). They are an awesome band to open up for. They are definitely what some would call “barn burners.” Breezy sets her washboard on fire at the end of their set so, needless to say, they draw a crowd that is ready to party.
Here’s their website:

It has not taken very long for The Rev’s fans to develop an appreciation for our tunes. So far, our best shows were in Ferndale, MI and Harrisburg, PA. This was our second time in Harrisburg; we played in the same bar as last time, The Abbey Bar.” We had a group of people who were there at our last show show up for this one, too. One guy brought his CD he bought at the last show for us to sign this time around. His CD was warped at the edges, and it was apparent he had been giving it a good listen.
We have even had a few people show up to shows requesting certain songs off of our album.
We’ve been getting some exciting news as of late. We found out that we will be performing on a stage at SXSW in March of 2013. ( three months!!! ) SXSW is a five day long music festival chalked full of some of our favorite bands.
We also found out today that we have been deemed “freshman favorite” band for SXSW. This means we have been voted favorite new coming band to the SXSW stage. We all feel extremely excited and blessed to be able to perform at this festival. This is a big check off of our list. It gives us hope and makes the end of the tunnel seem brighter than before. We appreciate all of our fans who have given positive feedback on our album. Without fans, none of our dreams would be coming to fruition.
Fun Fact: There is now a mixed beverage named after Rosco Bandana! Check out Drinkify.com. They take musicians and conglomerate a mixture of alcohol that they feel is appropriate to drink while listening to tunes.
